How can I obtain the degree of Telecom SudParis via VPE?
Your experience is assessed to ensure that you have the knowledge, skills and abilities to justify the award of a degree from Telecom SudParis.
The knowledge and skills you have acquired be assessed by a VPE panel on the basis of your completed application and an interview.
This panel will be made up of members of the Telecom SudParis academic staff and professionals involved in the industry.
The overall goal is to determine whether the skills and knowledge you have acquired match the skills and abilities validated by a degree.
You will therefore compile a dossier in which you present and analyse your experience in order to demonstrate the quality of the knowledge and skills you have acquired against the requirements of the Telecom SudParis degree.
On the basis of this dossier you will then be interviewed by the VPE panel.
The panel will question you on your career path, achievements, methodologies you have implemented, and the knowledge and skills you have utilised.
- Get in touch with the VPE Manager at Telecom SudParis, sending a detailed CV and covering letter explaining your reasons for making a VPE application. By studying your CV and covering letter, the VPE Manager will be able to learn all about you.
- On this basis, the VPE Manager decides whether you are eligible to submit a preliminary application form.
- Telecom SudParis will then assess the eligibility of your application, in particular that you have a minimum of 3 years experience relevant to the School’s degree programme.
- We will provide an opinion of the feasibility of your VPE proposal.
The completion of this application for the panel will require a significant personal investment on your part. We wish to provide you with information that will enable you to make a decision before committing fully to the scheme. Please note: This will be a notification of feasibility only and will have no influence on the decision of the validation panel.
- If our feasibility assessment is positive, you may then request an application form for the Validation of Professional Experience scheme. Support is available in completing the form if you wish.
Following your interview with the panel, the panel will decide:
- either to award you the full degree,
- or to award it conditionally, on the basis that you undertake to develop some additional skills,
- or to refuse the validation if it feels that your experience does not meet the standard of the Telecom SudParis degree.
In the case of a conditional validation, we will draw up a suggested programme for additional development of the abilities and skills considered to be inadequate; once this has been completed, the panel will meet again to determine whether a Telecom SudParis degree should be awarded or not.
