Projects

The Telecom SudParis training course incorporates the whole range of tasks that engineers typically have to carry out. Each student has to complete different types of projects:

A PROFESSIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Project type: team-working
Duration: throughout the common core programme.

Right from the start of the course, each student joins a team and works to develop a project using a broad range of professional skills (team management, professional communication, deadline and cost management, risk management). Students can opt to carry out this project in one of the many on-campus student associations. As such, the project may be scientific and technical, humanitarian, social or sports-related, or consist of organising events or putting on awareness-raising campaigns. Engineering and management students can work together in mixed teams.

IT PROJECT

Project type: team-working
Duration: Semester 6

This project rounds off the IT foundation phase of the course. Each team must complete a C language application development project with grafic interface.

CASSIOPEE PROJECT

Project type: individual or team-working
Duration Semester 8

Over the course of the entire semester, students must complete a project in one of the following three areas: a research orientated, industrial or entrepreneurial project.

CHALLENGE PROJETS D'ENTREPRENDRE® (entrepreneurship projects)

Project type: mixed teams of engineering and management students.

This challenge is jointly organised with Telecom School of Management. It helps to raise students’ awareness about starting a business or about innovative services.  All our students take part, and some projects go on to be supported by the Telecom & Management SudParis Business Incubator.

ENGINEER PROJECT

Project type: individual
Duration: Semester 9 or 10

This project is a chance for students to put into practice the theoretical knowledge gained from the advanced studies modules. The project can be conducted in the Telecom & Management SudParis laboratories or as an in-business project.
