Academic projects

The "Challenge Projets d'Entreprendre®"

Timescale: one week in April

Created in 1999 by the INT, the Challenge Projet d'entreprendre® is an educational project run jointly by Telecom SudParis and Telecom Ecole de Management. Its goal is to instil in students an entrepreneurial sprit through the management of innovative projects. All 400 2nd year students from both Schools are involved in week-long projects. Mixed teams of engineers and managers compete to create the best start-up projects or ICT related activities. This annual event, a fertile source of ideas and projects, is organised with the support of our corporate partners. Each company is linked with a project category and plays a part in the evaluation process during the week, and on the panels.

Workshop project

Timescale: one week in April

Organised in parallel with the Challenge Projet d'entreprendre® and over the same period, this workshop focuses on project management. Mixed teams of engineers and managers, supported by a tutor, must present a project dossier to the panel which is made up of company representatives.

Industry projects

Timescale: March - April

An industry project of around 150 hours may be offered to 2nd and 3rd year students from both Schools. Each project, which is undertaken by students working in a team, must be validated in advance by a lecturer who leads the project.

Teaching assignments

Timescale: to be determined according to programme content

Télécom SudParis actively encourages an increasing number of visits from corporate professionals to 3rd year classes.

Level: after completing a two year common core curriculum, 3rd year students choose a specialist subject.

Content: In line with the company’s areas of expertise, a project, e.g. a completed or existing brief, is explained to students and discussed with them, along with the problems encountered, its organisation from start to finish, customer relations, etc.

Fields of intervention: A wide variety of disciplines are taught including Auditing and Information Systems Consulting, Marketing for Information and Communication Technologies, Network Software Engineering, Telecommunications networks, etc..

Contact the Internship and Corporate Relations department or the Head of department directly concerned.

To find out which specialist area the visit should come under, consult the list.

The content must be validated by the member of the academic staff in charge of that domain and may be included as a one-off session (2 hours or 1/2 day) or within a more long-term partnership.
