Masters of Science

For international students, Telecom SudParis offers various graduate Master's of Science degrees with coursework and teaching being carried out in English  and in French . These research degrees give access to PhD studies within the institution or elsewhere worldwide. The programs aim at giving non-French nationals the opportunity for in-depth study of the European approach to IT.

The Master of Science is a postgraduate course leading to high level competencies recognized by the industry and in research centers. The degree is awarded after completion of three semesters of full-time study, the last one being concentrated on the completion of the master's thesis in a research or development lab.

Duration

Our MSc are 2-year full time programs divided on 4 semesters starting early in October. The fourth semester dedicated to a Master thesis must be done in an academic or corporate research lab.

Requirements

To apply you must:

  1. hold a Bachelor's degree (normally from a four-year program), or its equivalent, in one of the academic subjects covered by Telecom SudParis (ex : Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics)
  2. produce evidence of proficiency in English in the form of an internationally-recognized standardized test score.
    Scores:
    • IELTS: 5.5/9
    • TOEFL paper based: 550/677
    • TOEFL computer based: 213/300
    • TOEFL internet based: 79/120
    • TOEIC: 750/990
    • Cambridge: CAE (Certificate of Advanced English)
  3. Undergraduate or graduate grades significantly above average
  4. Good background in the academic topics offered by our Master's programs

  2. Log on to the Student Portal in order to download the application form and the ckeck-list

NOTE: to access the Student Portal, you will receive a login and password. Information is sent once your registration is confirmed by the International Office. Your access will be activated within 24 hours.

Admission result and offer

The Admission committee convenes every two months until May 2015.

If you are admitted, you will receive an admission offer by email and by post. To confirm your participation, you have to pay 2500 Euros (see tuition and fees section). The payment must be done one month after reception of the admission offer.

Tuition and fees

Tuition fees

For 2014/2015 the tuition was:

  • 10 000 Euros for International Students
  • 3 000 Euros for national and European students

Those amounts are subject to change for 2015/2016.
To confirm your participation in one of our Msc programs, you must pay 2500 euros (75% of tuition fees). We only accept payment by bank transfer. Information on the bank details and the financial conditions will be provided with the Admission Offer Letter.

Payment of the tuition

Télécom SudParis gives the possibility to pay the fees by installments (one payment per semester) or to pay the full amount upon arrival (in September/October).

Living expenses and miscellaneous

France is one of the most exciting destinations for foreign students but the cost of living may be higher than in their home country.
In addition to the tuition fees, the compulsory Social Security and the housing, we estimate that students should forecast approximately 750 Euros per month. This amount includes:

  • Transportation
  • Food (on and off campus)
  • School stationary (books, computer...)
  • Phone and internet contract

Miscellaneous:

  • Travels through France and Europe
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Taxes for regulation...

Students requiring a visa to enter France will be requested by the French Autorities to demonstrate that they can meet a total monthly fees of 650 euros per month or 6500 Euros for 10 months of study (Summer holidays are not taken into account). Tuition fees and housing are not included.

Scholarships

Applicants who wish to apply for a scholarship offered by their government may receive a provisional admission letter in order to start the procedure.

TSE Scholarship

Télécom SudParis may present the applications with the highest academic results for the Fondation Telecom's Excellence Scholarship. Only applicants who are admitted in one of our MSc programs can be presented.

We offer up to 4 scholarships per year.

EIFFEL Scholarship

If you apply for the EIFFEL scholarship, you must notify us when you submit your Master of Science application. Your application must be sent before the end of November 2014 to Telecom SudParis.

April 15th 2015: registration closes
May 1st 2015: deadline to receive complete application
July 31st 2015: deadline to confirm your participation and pay the 2500 Euros
November 15th 2014: last date to submit your application if you apply for the EIFFEL Scholarship (site de l'Egide)
February 29th 2015: last date to submit your application if you want to apply for the TSE Excellence Scholarship
